Things to Do Around Alexander’s Chase
Conveniently located immediately off of Belmont Ridge Road, which stretches from VA-7 in the north to VA-50 in the south, Alexander’s Chase allows for its residents to easily travel to any one of the area’s many attractions. One of these is the Brambleton Town Center, which is one of the area’s largest shopping centers and is located less than a mile south along Belmont Ridge Road. The central location in Brambleton Plaza, of course, is the Regal Fox Cinemas and IMAX Theater. This is one of five movie theaters in the immediate area, but is also one of the biggest and easiest to get in and out of with its two parking garages. Brambleton Plaza also hosts dozens of events throughout the year, including yard sales, runs, bicycle events, concerts and farmers’ markets.
Just across the street from the plaza is the Brambleton Golf Course. This par-72, 18-hole golf course opened in 1994 and is designed to U.S. Golf Association standards. It features diverse terrain, a driving range, a pro shop and snack bar. Its outdoor pavilion overlooks two of the course’s holes and is prefect for outdoor events such as weddings.
Also within less than a mile of Alexander’s Chase are three regional parks. The closest to the neighborhood is Brambleton Regional Park, as it is located directly across Belmont Ridge Road. This park is situated next to the National Recreation and Park Association office and features four baseball diamonds, two softball fields, a snack bar and indoor restrooms. Just to the north on Belmont Ridge Road is the Beaverdam Reservoir park entrance. This site provides residents with a beautiful setting to go fishing, canoeing, kayaking or hiking around the reservoir. The third park in the area, also to the north on Belmont Ridge Road, is Edgar Tillet Memorial Park. This park features four baseball diamonds and tremendous views of the Beaverdam Reservoir.
Getting Around Alexander’s Chase
For residents who commute each day to Washington, DC or in the surrounding metropolitan area for work, public transportation is also easily accessible when living in Alexander’s Chase. The Loudoun County Transit—a commuter bus line that runs from within the city all the way west to the edge of Loudoun County in Purcellville—provides local residents with a bus service that makes commuting comfortable and convenient. The Brambleton Park & Ride stop on Creighton Road is conveniently located and allows for commuters to get where they need to go.
